Swoon-worthy in-home Maternity Shoot in Scottsdale, Arizona

I have so many words when it comes to how this gallery makes me feel when looking at all of these images... there is so much to be said about the way these two love each other and how precious this time is as they nurture their sweet boy before he's born. Their love story is one of my favorites -- a whirlwind romance with God leading them every step of the way, it's just beautiful! And now as they prepare to welcome baby boy, I was so honored to capture these photos for them in the comfort of their own home. Melissa came to me with a vision of how she hoped to capture her and Brendon's maternity photos with the beautiful words of "I think of this shoot as just the next step in our love story..." I about crumbled in my feels over her intentionality and understanding how important this session was to both of them!

A casual in-home maternity session is fairly different than what you would typically see on my portfolio, and I was SO excited to step out of my comfort zone and create with the Birdoes... I'm absolutely giddy over the results!!

Their beautiful home was a collection of open windows and beautiful, bright natural light. Making for the perfect lighting scenario! We got creative with different rooms in the house and even shot some particular shots with the intention of recreated some once the little one is here. I will be back with the Birdoes in a few months for their newborn session with the little guy and I simply cannot wait! They jumped on board as members of the Family Collective membership... giving them several sessions over the next year to capture this changing season.
