Sweet Newborn Photo Session in Scottsdale, ARizona

Newborn sessions will always be a personal favorite of mine. It's a time captured that family's will truly never get back and man, this time goes by so quickly (too quickly). I know that dolling up for a photo session just weeks after giving birth feels like the very last thing you want to do, trust me - I get it, I've been there too!! But some encouragement from me to you: having these photos to look back on are a true gift.

With that said, I aim to make your newborn sessions as seamless and stress-free as possible so that when the time comes, you'll look at your newborn photos as another exciting milestone in the early weeks of the newborn season. I often recommend inquiring with your photographer about halfway through your pregnancy or into your third trimester (if you're doing maternity photos - it would be around this time!). And scheduling anywhere from one to two weeks after your due date understanding that this may change and most newborn photographers are prepared to adjust for this! I have some clients who prefer to schedule about 3-4 weeks after birth, which is totally fine as well! At the end of the day, you can schedule this session anytime that is best for you and your family. From my experience, I often find that baby is most cooperative and sleepy within those first two weeks after birth. During the planning, we organize styles, outfits, location (if not at home), and make sure all of the details are ready to go well before delivery so that you don't have to worry about it after the baby is born. This is also where the ANP Client Closet comes in handy!

This particular gallery is with the O'Brien family and this was a really special session as their time in Arizona was coming to a bittersweet end! Liam had previously played for the Arizona Coyotes and is transferring with the team to its new ownership in Salt Lake! As exciting as this change is, it was bittersweet to be able to capture this newborn session in their beloved home and beautifully decorated nursery. We also included Grandma in a couple of the shots, which is always really sweet to get those multi-generational shots. I had so much fun working with the O'Briens and wishing them the best of luck in their adventures to Utah!!
