Tips & Advice
No problem! We will find the area of your home that offers the most natural light and prioritize the bulk of our session in that lighting. You would be amazed at how a corner of the kitchen or that one hallway photographs so well! There has yet to have been a lighting scenario where we cannot accommodate an in-home session due to lighting, That said, if you would rather eliminate the concern of lighting all together, scheduling your. newborn session at the studio would be the best bet! The studio for my Scottsdale newborn sessions offers beautiful lighting with a cozy setting so that we can still get images of baby cuddled in a crib or snuggled with mom on a daybed.
As a Scottsdale newborn photographer, this is not a regular concern - thankfully! Though, I do recommend rescheduling on a cloudy day, especially when photographing indoors. Cloud interference can create muddy skin tones and makes it difficult to bring in enough natural lighting into an enclosed space.
Zero! Baby will be swaddled for 99% of our Scottsdale newborn photos! I will come with all of the swaddles needed for our time together. If you do have an outfit you would like photographed, we can plan for that towards the end of the session. I find if we are constantly changing baby, it is hard for babe to really settle and it's a constant battle of soothing to sleep. My newborn photography style focuses heavily on swaddle poses and baby details.
Yes, dogs and extended family are welcome to join our Scottsdale newborn photography session! We will discuss the details of what this would look like during our Planning Appointment.
